EYFS & Curriculum

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards that all Early Years providers must follow to ensure children learn, develop and feel safe and supported.

This stage is incredibly important, as it helps prepare your child for life in the wider community and lays the foundations for their future learning and achievements.

From birth to five, children should enjoy experiences that are happy, active, exciting, fun and secure, supporting every aspect of their development, care and learning.

The EYFS outlines the stages children move through across the three prime areas and four specific areas of learning, guiding them towards the Early Learning Goals.

At First Day Nursery, we follow the EYFS framework closely. Our staff receive ongoing training and support to ensure high-quality practice in all areas of the EYFS.

We provide a personalised curriculum which meets individual needs of our children. We work alongside parents to identify next steps, celebrate milestones and support children to achieve their full potential.
