About us
Who are we?
We are a group of nurseries nurturing the seeds of curiosity and growth in every child. Our nurseries are designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment where children from 3 months to 5 years can explore, learn and thrive.

Why us?
We are guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage and follow the Curiosity Approach ethos which encorporates the teachings of all the great early years pioneers, including Maria Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner, and Emmi Pikler.
Within our completely play-based and child-led approach, children become the centre of their own development. Children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and create, using engaging resources modelled by passionate facilitators. Their innate curiosity is awakened and sparked.

We are pleased to inform you that many exciting developments are taking place at all of our nurseries. We have decided to embark on the Curiosity Approach Journey. 'The Curiosity Approach' is an outstanding accreditation program.
Curiosity Approach is a modern approach to early childhood education that emphasizes active learning and critical thinking.
This approach is specifically for forward-thinking settings like ours, who want to create beautiful environments for our incredible children. Inspiring them to be inquisitive and curious, creating the “thinkers and doers” of the future.
Our Nurturing Ethos
At First Day Nursery, we recognise the importance of early development and have created an ethos that promotes a holistic approach to childcare.
Through adopting the Curiosity Approach, we draw inspiration from early childhood pioneers like Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Steiner to create calm, open-ended environments where children use natural, everyday items and loose parts to explore, experiment, and lead their own learning at their own pace.
